The guideline gives tips and recommendations on carrying out, analysing and evaluating structure-borne sound measurements which are intended to be useful in the diagnosis of the operating condition of rolling element bearings in running machines in plants. Often used and approved procedures of body sound measurement as well as the status diagnosis are subject of the guideline.
