This guideline specifies general performance criteria on a digital interface for data exchange between automated measuring and electronic data evaluation systems for monitoring emissions. The performance criteria apply to performance tests of automated measuring and electronic data evaluation systems equipped with digital interfaces. This guideline meets the requirements of the Uniform Practice in Monitoring Emissions (Bundeseinheitlichen Praxis bei der Überwachung der Emissionen) and of DIN EN 15267-3 with respect to a complete description of the digital interface in the relevant standards and guidelines. This guideline is addressed to manufactures of automated measuring and electronic data evaluation systems for monitoring emissions, to test institutes performing performance tests of such systems, and to the authorities responsible for the declaration of suitability. Furthermore, it assists users of performance-tested systems for monitoring emissions in the operation of these systems.
