This standard details the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 for testing laboratories performing microbiological examinations of process water (sampling and laboratory testing) on evaporative cooling systems, cooling towers and wet separators, and the requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17020 for inspection bodies (Type A) performing inspections of the proper plant operation of evaporative cooling systems, cooling towers and wet separators. In conjunction with these standards, it can serve as a basis for the proof of competence of these bodies. In addition to the impartiality requirements laid down in the standards, this standard also specifies the requirements for the independence and reliability of these bodies. It describes the assignment of testing and inspection tasks on evaporative cooling systems, cooling towers and wet separators to test areas.This standard is aimed at test laboratories, inspection bodies (Type A), accreditation bodies and competent authorities responsible for plants under the 42nd BImSchV.
