The VDI Expert Recommendation explains the application of the concept of resource efficiency in the life cycle of buildings. It defines essential boundary conditions and methodological principles for resource efficiency in the building sector. The application of the VDI Expert Recommendation contributes to increasing the efficiency of resources used in construction and supports users in determining the resource efficiency of buildings. The target group of this VDI Expert Recommendation are planners, executors and decision-makers in the construction and real estate industry, politics and administration who have an influence on the resource consumption of buildings due to their position and/or function.
