The standard describes procedures for the calibration of contact (stylus) instruments for roughness measurement. Methods for calculating the uncertainty of measurement in the calibration of the equipment and in measuring the measurement standards (normal) and workpieces are specified. The standard describes the required parameters and symbols and presents the calculations as an example.
