A generic procedure is presented that supports the implementation of the digital transformation of manufacturing companies. The standard applies to all relevant processes and tasks within a manufacturing company and provides decision-makers with an orientation for selecting suitable Industry 4.0 maturity models, with the help of which companies can classify their own maturity level and derive measures if necessary. The target group of this standard are manufacturing companies and their service providers. It addresses the group of people who are responsible for planning and implementing the digital transformation.
