This standard applies to the testing of measuring tapes and scales according to OIML R035 and Directive 2014/32/EU Annex MI-008 Chapter 1 (without additional indication). It describes the required operations. It also deals with the measurement uncertainty budget. There is a detailed example in the Annex. This standard applies in conjunction with VDI/VDE/DGQ/DKD 2618 Part 1.1 and Part 1.2. The standard is addressed to manufacturers and users of measuring equipment, calibration laboratories and calibration service providers.
