This standards includes definitions to re-cooling systems primarily used in electricity and heat supply. It covers re-cooling systems in the capacity range of 30 kW up to 2500 MW. Re-cooling systems for air conditioning are not included. The standard VDI 2047 issued in 1992 is completely revised in this standard and terms of the field of hygienic operations of re-cooling systems are added.
