Abstract
This standard establishes calculation procedures for the determination of heat flow rates and vapor diffusion flows in insulats as well as insulation layer thicknesses upon technical considerations. The standard deals with wall end pipe insulation, insulation of ducts, vessels, buried pipes as well as pipes in walls and floors of buildings. The scope of this standard covers operational installations in the industry and the building services. Thus, the standard includes methods for the determination of the thermal conductivity of insulants under conditions of operation. They include the influence of temperature, moisture, convection, thickness and also insulation related thermal bridges.
