Abstract
The standard describes a systematic approach to the design of planar cam gears. It covers the following steps for a functioning transmission: setting up the movement plan, construction of the motion chart, selection of the type of the transmission, calculation of the main dimensions, calculation of the work curve, construction of the gearbox, design of technical drawings of all components, and manufacturing and mounting of the gear.
