Abstract
The maximum immission values (MI values) for organically bound mercury which are presented in this standard are designed to protect farm animals and the food derived from them. The MI values for mercury (Hg) are derived from long-term experiments designed to determine the dose-time-response relationship in farm animals. The maximum immission values for mercury are therefor confined only for those farm animals with which such experiments were conducted.
