Vertical bucket elevators are used for the vertical transport of bulk materials. According to the type of the traction element, a distinction is made between belt and chain bucket elevators. Both are described in course of this standard. The standard describes the types, features and areas of application as well as the basics for the dimensioning. This supports the appropriate selection and planning of vertical bucket elevators.
