Abstract
In non-thermal plasma the coupled energy is mainly transferred to the electrons, while the gas temperature is similar to the level of the ambient temperature. The energy of the electrons is used to break down hydrocarbon compounds. Consequently, the range of application of the standard mainly focuses on odorous gases and those containing less concentrated gaseous hydrocarbons. In this context, the standard includes information for planning, construction and operation of non-thermal plasma systems for exhaust gas purification.
