This standard provide instructions and information on products, types of use and requirements for load securing equipment in road vehicles. It does not claim to be complete. For many of these load securing devices, requirements for quality, discard, labeling and testing are described for the first time. The variety of product variants, the tools and their possible combinations cannot be fully taken into account. Demonstrably equivalent load securing devices or those that achieve better securing can therefore also be used. The correct selection, combination and use of load securing equipment must be carried out by those responsible for the specific individual case. Danger to persons or impairment of the vehicle driving behavior are to be excluded. To evaluate the performance of the entire load securing system (e. g. vehicle body, lashing rails, locking beams), the manufacturer’s information on the possible uses and strengths of vehicle bodies, lashing and lifting gear, as well as the devices and aids for load securing must be observed.
