Abstract
With the introduction of holistic production systems (GPS), many manufacturing companies have made product production efficient in order to avoid waste and thus reduce the lead time to the customer. In the past, the introduction of holistic production systems primarily concerned manufacturing and assembly.Increasing competition and changes to existing framework conditions mean that the principles for holistic production systems are also being transferred to other areas of the company. This should be taken into account by a so-called "Lean Enterprise". In addition to production and assembly, this also applies to development, service, sales, and administration. In addition, appropriate leadership must be taken into account. With the help of the standard, users receive a practice-oriented guideline that shows how a holistic product development system can be introduced and used. This standard is aimed at all developing and manufacturing companies that have already introduced a GPES or want to introduce one in the future and are striving to link it with an existing GPS in the sense of a "Lean Enterprise System".
