Abstract
The standard is an aid in the creation of diagnostic processes and methods for all areas in which measures are required for the efficient operation and maintenance of means of production. The user is supported in filtering out the effective data. This standard explains which data is required for which diagnoses. It provides information on individual diagnostic tools and systems. This standard applies to all areas in which monitoring, control, and knowledge management are required on production systems and their peripherals. It serves as a guide for the operator and user for the structure of diagnostic processes and the use of diagnostic methods in maintenance. It bundles all the requirements that modern "Maintenance 4.0" must meet.
