Abstract
The standard describes the design features required for the use of machining media/cooling lubricant in machine tools and systems for metal cutting and forming. These design rules help to ensure trouble-free operation when using machining media in machine tools and production systems and to increase cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency while minimising maintenance costs.This standard therefore provides valuable information for designers, purchasers and users of machine tools as well as cooling lubricant manufacturers with regard to system design and material selection.
