Based on general design rules for ceramic materials, this standard gives specific design recommendations for additive manufacturing processes that are relevant for ceramic production. In particular, the shrinkage occurring during sintering is taken into account. The standard is aimed at product planners and designers who want to use ceramic components. This standard provides the necessary basic knowledge about ceramic components and about the specific possibilities of additive manufacturing of ceramics. No previous in-depth knowledge in these areas is required.
