Abstract
The aim of this guideline is to describe the use of belt sanders for sanding wood and wood-based materials. Numerous types of wood and wood-based materials of virtually any shape and size can be processed with the aid of belt sanders.As well as providing an overview of the tooling, machine systems and technology involved, the guideline provides examples of belt sanding applications. Aimed at production engineers, woodworking technicians and machine operators, it is designed to assist them in process planning and organisation and the configuration of belt sanding processes.
