Abstract
This standard describes a calculation method to estimate the dispersion of emissions by accidental releases of substances into the atmosphere in the framework of the 12th BImSchV. The calculation method provides a concentration distribution in the vicinity of the source, for which with the help of suitable assessment values the necessary information for hazardous areas can be derived. Moreover, the calculation method fulfils the demands of the guidelines of the Commission on Process Safety on the determination of safety distances.
