Abstract
The guideline describes defects where micro-organisms either come as the sole cause in question or accelerate or increase the failure or indirectly cause failures. The analysis of microbial material damage described in the guideline should reveal the causes of defective changes in materials and products and should be basis for targeted measures for damage remedy and prevention.
