The guideline essentially applies to rigidy or flexibly mounted reciprocating piston engines and piston compressors with power ratings above 100 kW and speeds between 120 min<(hoch)-1> and 3000 min<(hoch)-1>. It provides practical instructions on measuring and evaluating vibration when measurements are taken at the non-ratating and non-reciprocating parts of complete machines.
