Abstract
This standard deals with the question of how product management can be implemented in a company. In practice, there are sometimes very different forms of product management. Which form is the most suitable depends strongly on the industry environment and the corporate objectives. This standard provides a guideline which can be used by a company to structure and gradually work its way through the issues involved in setting up or optimising product management. An implementation model is presented, the aim of which is to arrive at a blueprint for optimal product management. Furthermore, the standard describes how such a blueprint can be used in the company. The standard addresses manufacturers of technical products and services who want to establish or improve product management in their company.
