Abstract
The standard describes a classification of lifts under the machinery directive based on the safety equipment of the lift and its energy consumption. The standard is aimed at manufacturers of lifts and lift components and also at builders, architects, planning consultants, assembly/maintenance companies, operators and testing organisations.
