Abstract

The standard covers energy-flexible factories and producing companies. It explains the process of identification and evaluation of energy flexibility as well as the associated terms. Energy flexibility measures can be: adaptation of process starts (short and medium term); interruption of processes; adaptation of process parameters; adaptation of the machine allocation; adjustment of job order; storage of energy; change of energy source; adaptation of break times; adaptation of shift times, etc. It develops energy flexibility indicators, explains the various procurement markets and describes decision-making paths. Furthermore, a process is presented how to recognize and exploit energy-flexibility potentials.
