This guideline refers to the preparation of specimens for quality control measurements in the process chain of precision glass moulding of optical elements. Optical elements as well as mould inserts themselves can be the specimen under test. The guideline recommends several cleaning procedures adapted to the process chain and quotes their suitability for different materials and degrees of contamination.
