The planning, dimensioning and equipment of sanitary rooms in kindergartens, nursery schools and schools must be tailored to the needs of children and youths. The guideline is intended to offer guidance, independent of any regulations and legislative documents, for planning, execution and operation. In the planning, give particular consideration to the following: minimum number of sanitary objects, sufficient space for moving about, hygiene, functional, pracitcable and visually pleasing design, robust and theft-protected equipment, water and energy saving, economic installation.
