Abstract
The standard describes the investigation to clarify suspected asbestos in ventilation systems (fire dampers, air ducts and their surroundings), the individual assessment of the fire dampers (BSK) in accordance with the asbestos guideline, through to remediation. The individual assessment in accordance with the standard VDI 6202 Part 1 by the pollutant expert forms the basis for the activities of the test experts for fire protection and maintenance technicians. Any further assessment of structural/technical fire protection is not the subject of this standard. This standard is intended for building owners (operators, owners, initiators of measures), maintenance technicians and pollutant experts through to test experts.
