Abstract
Central Europeans stay most of their time indoors. Therefore, the indooor air quality is important for health and wellbeing. Technical facilities, structural damage, animals and users themselves may be sources for odours beside emissions from materials and furnishing. Sources of odour emissions often can not be determined by chemical/physical measurements solely, due to their complexity. This standard describes a method for the assessment of occupant satisfaction with indoor air quality by means of questionnaires. Two sample questionnaires are presented, one for office workplaces and one for residential properties. The standard is largely based on the questionnaires of the Örebro Model. This standard is aimed at experts, authorities, and real estate agents.
