Abstract
Headlamp alignment test systems within the scope of this standard are devices for checking the alignment of the low beam, high beam and fog lamps of motor vehicles. The standard is intended to ensure a standardised procedure for the calibration of "systems for checking headlamp settings" (headlamp alignment test systems, SEPS), which are used, for example, as part of a general inspection (HU) of motor vehicles in accordance with Section 29 of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations (StVZO). In addition, the application of the standard ensures that the calibration laboratories commissioned carry out a largely standardised presentation and evaluation of the calibration results, which should ultimately be documented in the calibration certificate of the headlamp alignment test system.
