Abstract
Contact stylus instruments are able to record contours in the range of several millimetres and the surface roughness on these contours in one measuring process. The standard contains basic definitions of terms and device descriptions and thus lays the foundations for the series of standards for combined contour and roughness measurement. The standard is intended for manufacturers and users of contact stylus instruments.
