This standard presents basics, fields of application and effects of the spectral analysis on rotational form measurements, which are to be examined regarding harmonic contents (periodic wave fractions) The recognition of these periodic components can provide information about the causes of functional problems or part failure, but also about environmental or measuring instrument influences.
