Abstract
Control valves in combination with the attached auxiliary are important elements in chemical and process plants, some with a safety function. Their design is therefore extremely important for the entire system. Depending on the application and the existing power supply control valves are operated by pneumatic actuators, electrically or electro-hydraulically. This standard sets general calculation methods, recommendations and requirements for pneumatic, electrical and electro-hydraulic actuators to enable a reliable and safe operation in industrial plants.
