Abstract
The guideline gives recommendations regarding the calibration of universal counters. These are meant to ensure that the most important counter characteristics such as frequency deviation, frequency drift, stabilisation characteristics, and the most important counter functions such as the function of the input gates and gate control are examined in the various operating modes.
