The standard describes procedures for the monitoring and calibration of test equipment for determining electrical safety. It applies to electrical devices in medical technology according to DIN EN 62353 (VDE 0751-1) and describes the necessary calibration steps to be performed for these medical electrical devices during repeat tests and after repairs to the devices. The standard addresses users and manufacturers of test equipment for electrical safety as well as calibration laboratories and service providers.
