Abstract
Benchmarking is a method to improve efficiency and cost situation also in maintenance in a target-oriented and effective way. This standard gives concrete assistance for the planning, execution and evaluation of a benchmarking.The standard applies to areas in which maintenance measures are required. It describes specific procedures that lead to a continuous improvement process in maintenance with the aid of comparison parameters.
