The standard represents a supplement to the standard VDI 3459 Part 1 and defines terms with the main focus "deposition/dumping". The included terms are generally defined, in order to be able to put this general definition into a particular context, and to separate these terms from each other. The standard helps users to achieve a consensus on language and content. It aims to get a common understanding in applying the same concepts and technical description issues in the field of waste and energy.
