Abstract
This document describes a method of population survey to mesure any existing odour annoyance. Selected local residents are repeatedly questioned as to their perception of odours at a particular moment in time and their rating of the degree of annoyance. The results over a longer period of time serve to quantify the annoyance caused by odours, i.e. to measure the index of annoyance of residents in a defined investigation area.
