This standard deals with the exhaust-side corrosion of metallic materials in directly heated hot-water systems in hot-water heating systems and the associated exhaust systems. The application of this standard helps to minimise the probability of component failure or malfunction through proper planning, design and operation. This standard is intended for use by manufacturers, planners, erectors and installation operators. Corrosion at high temperatures, such as oxide scaling, is not covered by this standard.
