Ultrasound finds in industry and medicine application. Some times ultrasound can be detected as unwanted side effect. In all relevant cases the observation of the scenery is need in order to avoid or at least to minimise health damages. This VDI-Guideline specifies a measurement procedure applicable for the standardised determination of ultrasound at the work place. That VDI-Guideline provides tools and hints proper for minimising negative effects on human health caused by ultrasound. That covers the assessment and the reduction of ultrasound.
