Kurzreferat
The standard presents the procedure of passive biomonitoring with fish as bioaccumulators. The aim is to define standards for obtaining reproducible and representative environmental samples, in order to acquire results of the material state of the environment which are comparable over time and space. The standard describes the procedure of sampling including planning, catching the fish, sampling tissue and handling it. Helpful examples of specimen data sheets as well as instructions for age determination of fish are given in the Annex.
