The aim of this doucument is to lay the foundation for benchmarking in procurement logistics by defining indicators (characteristic values). The indicators can be used to mesure the efficiency of the logistics of piece goods procurement in any sector. As well as being used within the framework of benchmarking studies, the indicators can be used for internal controlling purposes.
