The aim of this guideline is to lay the foundation for benchmarking in production logistics by defining indicators (characteristic values). The indicators can be used to measure the efficiency of the production logistics of piece goods in any sector. As well as being used within the framework of benchmarking studies, the indicators can also be used for internal controlling.
