Advanced infrared measurement systems include the use for the examination of energy transmission and energy distribution systems in power supply companies, industrial and production plants as well as infrastructural facilities. This standard addresses most of all maintenance engineers in the field of electrical systems and thermographic professionals, who carry out investigations on electrical systems. It gives an overview on the application fields and the fundamentals. In addition, the standard describes the implementation of the thermographic measurement procedure for the maintenance diagnosis in electrical systems, as well as the analysis of the measurements, the documents, which have to be compiled, and their necessary content.
