The standard presents a summary of the main provisions of the existing body of standards and makes available for application the know-how gained from practical experience. The standard gives an overview of the model structure required and provides explanatory descriptions of the relevant simulation cases. The corresponding models should be structured as required by the simulation investigations. A detailed description of the individual model components is given in the corresponding parts of the series of standards VDI/VDE 3524. The user of the standard should consult the appropriate parts as necessary.
