This standard provides basics of general validity for acceptance and performance tests of fans. It comprises a series of specifications which reflect the present-day state of the art and are tailored to conditions such as typically occur. For the design of plants one has to take into account that tests according to this standard can actually be performed (e.g., stipulation of measuring cross sections and incorporation of suitable measuring points).
