The series of standards VDI 3814 applies to buildings, software and services for automated regulation, monitoring, optimising and controlling as well as managing energy efficiency and safe operation of HVAC systems. This standard offers concrete aids and working tools for the phases from requirements planning, design, construction, to handover and documentation. The standard provides support in the description and presentation of automation tasks with the BACS functions according to VDI 3814 Part 3.1 and Part 3.2. in the form of BACS automation schemes and associated BACS function lists.
