The standard defines general requirements for the calibration of electrical measuring instruments. The standard defines and establishes a uniform, industry-wide basis for test monitoring for electrical equipment. The standard also contains general definitions that apply to the application of Part 3 and the following parts of the series of standards.Part 3 and the following parts of the series of standards should therefore be applied only in conjunction with Part 1.
