Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience – Engineering to protect vulnerable people, industries, and environments

The planet has already begun experiencing man-made climate change, and scientific consensus is that in spite of efforts to decarbonise there will be further significant global heating in the coming decades. Developing solutions which will allow society adapt to this changing environment is critical; this event will explore the impact of heating on people’s health, industry functionality, and the urban spaces which support these.
The event will conclude with a discussion exploring the next steps for engineers, and the importance of international collaboration on global projects to rapidly deliver these solutions before it is too late.
After the panel discussion all attendees are invited to join a networking reception also taking place at the British Embassy. This event is free and open to all!

All visitors to the embassy will have to go through the security checkpoint at the entrance which should only take a few minutes.
